Dr. Bob Gensler | Gentle Chiropractor

Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C)

Dr. Bob is celebrating more than 43 years of service!  He specializes as a gentle chiropractor using a low force technique. He received training from Dr. Richard Van Rumpt, the founder of Directional Non-Force Technique. Dr. Gensler was honored by Dr. Van Rumpt to write his memorial for the chiropractic journals.

The doctors gentle treatment methods are effective for all ages seeking a chiropractor including pregnant women, infants and children, and seniors.

Dr. Gensler obtained a Master’s of Theological Studies from the Harvard Divinity School before studying to be a chiropractor.  He was immediately attracted to chiropractic because of its healing philosophy. Chiropractic teaches that healing occurs from the inside out, and that the body is better able to heal itself when the spine is in proper alignment allowing the nervous system is able to express itself without interference. Dr. Gensler’s strong philosophical background brings more to his relationship with his patients.

Our Approach

Chestnut Hill Chiropractic & Rehabilitation began in 1981 in Chestnut Hill Massachusetts, offering chiropractic adjustments.  We have now grown to include individual integrative exercise instruction to help supplement the adjustments, and allow our patients more control over their healing and over all health.   In 2022 we moved to Kendrick street in Needham, Ma.  We have created a beautiful and relaxing environment in which you will see pleasing art exhibits and hear relaxing music to enhance your visit.  As a classical guitarist Dr. Gensler recognizes the importance of music to create an atmosphere of relaxation. We have complied a playlist of a unique blend of classical, jazz and folk music which plays at the Office.    There is more on the connection between music and chiropractic here.

Marysia Gensler | Yoga Instructor

Marysia began studying yoga at the age of 18.  Upon beginning her initial yoga studies, she observed the difficulties students had moving through stiffness in their bodies.  Eventually she decided to focus on the therapeutic style of yoga called Iyengar. Marysia received her CIYT yoga certification in the Iyengar method, and studies with the renowned teachers, Patricia Walden and Peentz Dubble.

Marysia Gensler - Yoga Instructor

The gentle chiropractic approach is a perfect compliment to this style of yoga and vice versa.

Specific exercises are developed between the Dr. and Marysia based on each patients individual situation.

Our practice offers individual private instruction sessions here in our own studio.

The sessions review ergonomics and posture to help support spinal alignment and yoga poses to strengthen and increase mobility.

This is how we developed into Chestnut Hill Chiropractic & Rehabilitation.
